TAYTAY, Rizal - Two staff of the Rizal Provincial Security Division were fired after their illegal transaction was discovered in connection with the suspected falsification of documents and the results of coronavirus tests.
Before the two were detained, someone tapped the office of Rizal Governor Nini Ynares about the irregularity of Arnel Perocho, Barangay Muzon, Taytay, Rizal, and Edgardo Juanillo, Brgy. Pinugay, Baras.
The Rizal Provincial Government immediately cooperated with the police and, on 1 October, started an entrapment operation led by Lt. Col Jose Joey Arandia.
They were picked up while collecting the money from the agreed area in Barangay Dela Paz, Antipolo City.
“Hindi biro ang Covid-19. Sinasamantala pa ng ibang mga indibindwal. Dapat talaga silang kasuhan para wala nang gumaya,” Gov. Ynares said.
Apart from the two, it was learned that three other guards at the Capitol Gate were allegedly involved in the forgery of the Covid-19 Test Results.
It is said that it is asking for P1,700.00 upwards for each test certificate that the authorities are currently investigating.
