BATANGAS CITY - Good news for plantito and plantita in the city of Batangas! In the second year of sponsorship of the Agritalk Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) CALABARZON, the residents of Cavite, Lucena, and Batangas City received unique training. This is Agritalk 2020 Dainty and Artsy: The Plant Arts Webinar Collection.
According to Maridelle Jaurigue, Media Production Specialist at ATI CALABARZON, the purpose of the said webinar is to provide information and skills to participants in the various agricultural activities that they can earn.
“We want to bring agriculture to people’s homes and engage them in agribusiness activities, ” Jaurigue said.
She added that it is also a positive step to spread the awareness and value of planting and educating young people about gardening.
Last year, Agritalk provided various agricultural processes and farming practices, including rice production, corn production, vegetable production, and urban gardening.
This year, when people are only at home because of the pandemic, he said they want to teach different skills that will give them a chance to make a living.
The experts they invited will discuss various topics on the three Wednesdays of October. On October 14, Cavite Bonsai Club members discussed Bonsai & Topiary Gardening. The dish garden and terrarium will be taught on October 21 while the flower arrangement and foliage will be given on October 28.
