RIZAL, Philippines - The groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Cardona Ferry Terminal took place in Cardona, Rizal, on Thursday, October 8.

The Ferry Terminal is being constructed as an alternative to make the journey from Cardona to Guadalupe, Makati Station, more convenient and faster for every citizen of Rizal and to alleviate the traffic the problem in Metro Manila.

The leadership of the Cardona Rizal Government also believes that this will be one of the ways to increase the number of investors in the province.

Due to the complaint of some people of Rizal about the many hours, they spend traveling the traditional route to Metro Manila and back so it resulted in the construction of the Ferry Terminal.

According to Rizaleño, they believe that the Ferry Terminal service is a good solution to avoid traffic jams because apart from the convenience for the Rizaleños to travel, the said project will also help to focus more on Laguna Lake because of the opportunities available here.

It will be recalled that the said project was first proposed to the Department of Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade in December 2019 and now it will be built and will be followed by other Terminals in Jala-Jala town.
