MOA signed to revolutionize transport system in Kawit town

KAWIT, Cavite - The Municipal Government here led by Mayor Angelo Aguinaldo recently entered into a partnership with Global Electric Transport (GET) Philippines to launch a modern public transportation in the town.

The mayor together with Municipal Administrator Engr. Rey Santos signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for this project that will revolutionize the town's transport system with GET Phils' technological innovations "Smart and Safe City System" and the "Smart and Safe City Transport Network."

GET Philippines is an innovative mobility management company that provides electric shuttles and mini buses for a safe, comfortable and environment friendly travel plus a system for an automated fare collection and passenger management systems for all types of vehicles which would support the mandate for 'cashless' transactions by the Department of Transportation.

Aside from the safety and convenience features of this system, the data gathered here will contribute to the contact tracing protocol for COVID-19 safety measures.

"We will continue to coordinate with the different agencies and companies in our objective to extend to you a modern and safe public service," said Mayor Aguinaldo.

The MOA signing was witnessed by Municipal Legal Counsel Atty. Pelayo, the heads of the different departments, and the representatives of GET Phils, Anthony A. Dy, Managing Director, Dang Jirante, Operations Manager, Val Reyes, Chief Technology Officer, and Franz Tipdas, Administration Associate. (Ruel Francisco/Kawit Information Office)
