BATANGAS CITY - In partnership with local government authorities, the Department of Health (DOH) CALABARZON has opened a quarantine facility for COVID 19 patients at the Lipa Academy of Sports, Culture and Arts (LASCA) in Brgy. Dagatan, City of Lipa, October 2.
DOH 4A Director Dr. Eduardo C. Janairo that the facility will react to the findings of the Red Cross test laboratory in the city where it is easier to isolate and not influence or infect anyone when an individual proves to be positive.
The facility has a total of 128 isolation rooms that can be used by COVID-19 patients.
Janairo added that a variety of health facilities would be upgraded, including the relocation and expansion of the regional hospital and the construction of a multi-specialty hospital with a heart, lung , kidney and cancer center to meet people's needs.
In this regard, the DOH will assist congressional representatives in the province of Batangas in restructuring the provincial health care system to better serve and provide better medical services to the population.
The province of Batangas is the only province in CALABARZON under the General Community Quarantine.
