SM Cinema Lucena back in operations with its New Normal setup



LUCENA CITY – On Monday, October 12, 2020, The SM Cinema Lucena announced that they'll be back in operations on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, in a safer way with their hashtag #SafeAndFunMovieWatching.

It was March 2020 when SM Cinema announced that they’ll be temporarily closed until further notice due to the intensified alert to protect the public from the COVID-19 virus.



The SM Pampanga Amphitheater first launched its drive-in cinema in contemporary times in the Philippines on July 31, 2020, to test if this will work as the new setup to welcome the new normal in terms of cinemas.

Followed by SM Mall of Asia grounds, also launched their drive-in cinema “Movies by the Bay” On September 9, 2020.



The SM Cinema received a lot of positive feedback regarding their drive-in cinema.

Now, SM Cinema is back to the big screen promising a safe and fun movie-watching experience for everyone. Slowly but surely, SM Cinema is back with a limited audience size to facilitate proper social distancing and strict implementation of the IATF community omnibus guidelines.
