The Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR) is a long-term transformation and governance program. Its primary purpose is to transform units of the Philippine Army (PA) into a better, more dynamic, more capable, and more professional Army committed to its mandate of serving the people and securing the land. It aims to advance and institutionalize good governance and performance excellence; provide a long-term basis for the organizational and capability thrusts of the PA; and to establish, maintain, and synchronize the various reform initiatives.

In brief, ATR embodies our earnest commitment to pursue a genuine transformation program founded on good governance and performance excellence.



With this in exert, the 2nd Cavalry Battalion align Infantry Battalion activities in attaining the ultimate objectives of good governance and excellence in performance in support to economic and human development in Southern Luzon. A constant assessment and ATR assessment of activities to be implemented and its outcome is regularly done to evaluate if the set program objectives were compiled to its contribution to the well-being of the recipient communities and provided support to the overall campaign of Southern Luzon Command.

As such, 2nd Cavalry Battalion has constantly coordinated and its supported infantry units for better appreciation of their AO’s peculiarity. As a constant, regular conduct of Armor-Infantry Training is regularly done to enhance the unit and supported units warfighting capabilities. In support to the supported units campaign in their respective AO, the units CMO efforts is continued to support the formers activities in their identified priority areas to better shape the area for economic development that would provide better opportunities not only to individuals but to the community as a whole.



With the unit multiple stakeholders, 2Cav regularly receives voluminous books establishment of community libraries, medicines for medical and dental missions, materials for livelihood projects, school materials to enhance public school equipment inventory as an aide to learning, food for feeding programs and a lot more. Said resources are lumped to benefit communities and conducted during supported units conduct of community caravans in support of EO 70 and PTF/MTF ELCAC.

With the direction has the unit is rending, it envisions to be an active member of convergence between government and non-government entities to be service to the communities of Southern Luzon



The 2nd Cavalry (Masigasig) Battalion, Armor (Pambato) Division, Philippine Army is tasked to extend humanitarian assistance and other related activities in support to economic and human development in Southern Luzon.

This effort is integral in the unit’s Strategy Map. The unit conducted numerous activities including Medical and Dental Mission, Supplemental Feeding, Distribution of School Supplies and items thru the unit’s Project Shoebox, Gift Giving, Hand-over of Books, Microscopes and Sewing Machines, Free Haircut, Tree Planting and other humanitarian activities with the support of numerous stakeholders in the priority areas affected by armed conflict.

The unit partners with other agencies to support Executive Order Number 70 (EO 70) to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC) and to help the less privileged community in the areas of Bicol Region, Quezon, Rizal, Mindoro and Marinduque Province.

The unit also focuses on operational readiness. The unit created a Mobile Training Team (MTT) for the training of all personnel especially those who are assigned on far-flung areas. The MTT trains all the personnel in different aspect of Capability Enhancement Operations.

Armor and Admin Vehicle Preventive Maintenance and Defensive Driving Training, Armor Infantry Operations Training, Small Unit Leadership Training, Harris Radio Operations and Maintenance Training, Explosive Ordnance Reconnaissance Agent Training, AFV Gunnery Proficiency Training and Annual Rifle Marksmanship Training are some of the trainings provided by the MTT.

These trainings are expected to transform our personnel to a more capable and knowledgeable individuals and our assets to be more reliable in support to the unit’s transformation.
