CAMP BGEN PANTALEON GARCIA, IMUS CITY, Cavite - Cavite Police Provincial Office under the leadership of PCOL MARLON R SANTOS, Provincial Director arrested 22 individuals in an overnight anti-criminality campaigns and recorded 26 Community Quarantine Violators.
On the campaign against Illegal Drugs, 16 drug personalities were nabbed in Bacoor, Tagaytay, Alfonso and Ternate that resulted in the confiscation of 71 pieces of small transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu, drug money and other drug paraphernalia.
On warrantless arrest, six individuals were arrested involved in Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Physical Injuries and Damage to Property, Theft (Shoplifting), Executive Order Nr 10 Series 2020 and RA 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition), Physical Injury and Grave Threat, Stabbing and Theft of Motorcycle.
Cavite PPO recorded 26 Quarantine Violators from cities and municipalities of Cavite for no face mask and violation of curfew hours.
The arrested suspects were apprised of their Constitutional Rights provided in the Miranda Rule and RA 9745 (Anti-Torture Act of 2009) and were brought to the stations to prepare criminal charges for Inquest Proceedings to be referred before the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor.
PCOL MARLON SANTOS encouraged the public to observe health and quarantine protocols because there still individuals who are still involved in mass gatherings, drinking sessions and other forms of celebrations. Cavite Police will continue to enforce the quarantine rules such as conducting patrols, implementation of curfew and other ordinances relating to the COVID-19 and monitor all mass gatherings posted on social media, he added.
