BACOOR CITY, Cavite - A fire broke out in Zapote Uno, Bacoor City on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, around 6: 00-6: 30PM, according to the city's official page.
The fire that broke out behind the Savemore near the old Barangay Hall consumed five households with ten families, according to city mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla.
Although it went up to the third alarm, the fire was declared under control around 7:11 PM.
“Sa ganap na 7:11PM ay idineklarang Fire Under Control na ang sunog at sa ganap na 8:05PM OFFICIALLY FIRE OUT na ang sunog sa Barangay Zapote Uno,” the city said.
Meanwhile, Revilla thanked those who responded quickly to the area.
“24 firetrucks ang agarang sumaklolo para maapula ang apoy katuwang ang ating mga kababayan na nagtulong-tulong para mabilis na mapatay ang sunog,” she said.
“Sa inisyal na ulat, umabot sa 5 kabahayan na may 10 pamilya ang naapektuhan ng sunog. Sa ngayon ay nagpapatuloy ang imbestigasyon para matukoy ang pinagmulan ng sunog. Wala pang naiulat na nasaktan sa insidente,” she added.
