First 'virtual barangay assembly' in Mendez-Nuñez, successful

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite - The Mendez-Nuñez Municipal Government successfully held the first Virtual Barangay Assembly held on November 7 and 14.

A total of 24 Barangay Councils as well as their barangays actively participated and participated in the two-part Barangay Assembly.



The gathering was made online in response to the rule set for the ban on face to face assembly in areas under Community Quarantine and to provide an opportunity for all their respective barangays to participate.

The Virtual Assembly had a total of 62,244 engagements in seven days as proof of the high socialization of the Mendezeño.



According to Mayor Eric Vida, this victory includes the cooperation of the office of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) - Mendez-Nuñez headed by Ms. Anne Kimberly P. Babaan.

“Malugod kong pinasasalamatan si Mam Anne Kimberly Babaan, sa kaniyang masigasig na pagtutok at pag-gabay sa lahat ng ating mga barangay officials na isa sa mga naging dahilan upang maging matagumpay ang ginanap na virtual barangay assembly,” Mayor Vida said.



During the assembly, DILG paid tribute to the barangays for the following recognition: Most Liked, Viewed and Shared for Barangay Poblacion VI; Most Participated Barangay is Barangay Asis 1; Best Video Editing and Director is Barangay Poblacion IV, and Poblacion V was recognized for Best State of Barangay Address.

At the end of the virtual assembly, the local government hopes that the people of Mendez-Nuñez will be allowed to answer questions regarding the state, plan and leadership of their respective barangays. (Ruel Francisco / LGU Mendez-Nuñez FB page)
