BATANGAS CITY - The EBD Monitoring Team / Task Force has targeted and warned some cafés, restaurants and other similar establishments in Batangas City after seeing violations of their health and safety protocols as well as city ordinances against COVID-19 in the monitoring conducted by group on November 27.
According to EBDMT head, Mando Lazarte, they found that the number of customers in the said area is more than 50% capacity of the venue contrary to the permitted by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and according to the IATF guidelines.
There is no physical distancing because the tables and chairs are close together the music is loud even at night. There are also customers who do not have a face mask even before eating.
"Ipinaliwanag namin ang mga health protocol na dapat nilang ipatupad at kung sa susunod ay may violation pa rin, magre-recommend na kami sa City Legal Office ng kaukulang aksyon," Lazarte said.
It will be recalled that Mayor Beverley Dimacuha ordered stricter monitoring to ensure that safety protocols are being followed now that the movement of people and business establishments is gradually easing.
