Nadine once again does not fail to Queen up the season of Halloween, every November, and we are not complaining. The President raided us with a tease of photos from photoshoots, costumes worn, happenings, and lastly when she posted the Visual Video for the album, flooding the social media, making it hard to breathe – as a fan.
While watching the 30-minute-long Visual Video, posted on Oct. 1, 2020, It's hard not to notice the outfits she shifts in through every snap or when a camera view’s change in the screen transporting to another dimension and another. All the outfits are noticeable “a work of art”, just the right fit that speaks volumes for the feel of the Music Video. Behind the hovering of the fits is one of the “OG” creatives in the industry; Stylist Name, Lyna Lumno, she was known for dressing models in Mega photoshoots and Nadine’s past project, her style is very Avant-garde and very exclusively sultry looking, very detailed with its fairy looking vibes yet striking to be complex.
On Instagram Lyna posted a gratitude post about being a part of the work, She was exposed to say “almost 70+ outfits” was used for the Visual Album.
A lot of the designers The Stylist digs to be part of the project are young independent creatives and some even based in France. “Some outfits were shipped from different parts of the world,” says Lyna. The chosen fits speak a lot of “symbolism” through the close-up details of the wardrobes Nadine wears.
The one where Nadine wears the “Sunburst beaded top” speaks highly of some sentimental value to the designer “for it was the first garment that I made myself”, Jude Macasinag, says “The top, made in 2016, is purely crafted by hand and embellished with glass beads, gold thread, freshwater pearls, 5-centavo coins, a brass pendant handcrafted by the T’boli indigenous community in Mindanao, and Chinese green jade.” Title: Watch Wildest dream Visual Album on @carelessph on Youtube Owner: @Lynalumno @jude.macasinag @pysched.ph @jobdacon @nadinelustre Caption Meet the “OG” Creative/Stylist Behind Nadine’s Sultry Mystique looks in the Visual Album “Wildest Dreams” that made it visually mesmerizing.
Also one of the noticeable designers is a young artist that custom made the White outfit Nadine, made out of Ukay-ukay - rework clothes, this designer by @Alipapica comes to be an owner of an online Thrift shop on Instagram that highlight reworks vintages or used clothes. It just proves that the stylist is highly visionary and not looking for the quantity but the quality of a person’s craftsmanship. The last piece that also caught my attention was the Filipina Terno by Job Dacon, which looks like it pulled out from the museum, for it is inspired by a painting of Filipino painter Juan Luna. That made the whole painted canvas work as a wearable piece. “The message is still felt to this day,” says Job while talking about “Freedom”.
I’m sure a lot of the clothes tell another strong symbol that has the same goal and it is as the Visual Video keeps on empowering, it is a virtue of changing ourselves for the most part for finding our real self and accepting the all in all process.
