BATANGAS CITY - Five members of the Batangas City rescue team, assigned by Batangas City Risk Reduction and Management Council Chairperson, Mayor Beverley Dimacuha, assisted in the rescue operations in the said city.
The team is made up of rescuers from the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office with expertise in Water Rescue Operations (WASAR) and General Services Department staff.
They're bringing rescue boats from the city government.
Before going to Marikina, CDRRM Officer Rod dela Roca conducted a briefing in which he reminded the community of the skills and knowledge required to respond effectively to ensure their safety.
According to Dela Roca, the Batangas City Government has also responded multiple times to this rescue operation in different provinces.
The province of Batangas did not encounter the strong winds of typhoon Ulysses, only a large tree fell on Noble Street opposite Pioneer Laboratory due to strong winds, and CDRRRMO and MERALCO immediately carried out a clearing operation in this regard.
