BATANGAS CITY - Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles urged the Batanguenos to download the StaySafe PH application on their cell phones to assist the government in its contact tracing efforts.

This is the message he conveyed during a visit to Batangas City today at the invitation of Congressman Marvey Marino.

Nograles was a special guest at the EBD scholarship allowance distribution held at the Batangas City Convention Center.

According to the cabinet secretary, the purpose of the said app is to ensure public safety against COVID-19.

The app will also know if there is a COVID-19 positive that will help make contact tracing easier.

He added that the government is set to make easing and he said they will do everything possible to get businesses, jobs and schools back safely next year.

He called for the cooperation and support of Filipinos in government programs and stressed that the fight against COVID-19 should be a "shared responsibility".
