BATANGAS CITY - Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles urged the Batanguenos to download the StaySafe PH application on their cell phones to assist the government in its contact tracing efforts.
This is the message he conveyed during a visit to Batangas City today at the invitation of Congressman Marvey Marino.
Nograles was a special guest at the EBD scholarship allowance distribution held at the Batangas City Convention Center.
According to the cabinet secretary, the purpose of the said app is to ensure public safety against COVID-19.
“Sa pamamagitan ng StaySafePH app, hindi na kayo paulit-ulit na magreregister kapag pupunta kayo sa malls, food chains at iba pang establishments,” Nograles said.
The app will also know if there is a COVID-19 positive that will help make contact tracing easier.
He added that the government is set to make easing and he said they will do everything possible to get businesses, jobs and schools back safely next year.
Hiniling niya ang kooperasyon at suporta ng mga Filipino sa mga programa ng gobyerno at binigyang diin na ang paglaban sa COVID-19 ay dapat maging “shared responsibility”.
He called for the cooperation and support of Filipinos in government programs and stressed that the fight against COVID-19 should be a "shared responsibility".
In the message of Cong. Marvey on the occasion, emphasized that Nograles was one of the advocates in Congress and found P40 billion in funding for free higher education in state universities in the country.
He also announced the intention of the national government to conduct a survey for those wishing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. (PIO Batangas City)
