2 neutralized, 118 arrested in daily anti-criminality operations and implementation of minimum health protocols



Cavite Police neutralized 2 drug personalities, arrested 11 individuals involved on illegal drugs, 9 on illegal gambling, 6 on wanted persons, 1 on illegal possession of firearms, and 1 involved in a vehicular accident in Daily Anti-Criminality Drive and accosts 118 individuals on Quarantine Violations over the last 24 hours from January 11-12, 2021.

In the campaign against illegal drugs, two (2) drug personalities neutralized in two separate buy-bust operations which resulted in armed encounter in Rosario and Naic, Cavite. A total of eleven (11) personalities were arrested in 10 buy-bust operations conducted in Cavite City, Dasmariñas City, Silang, Alfonso, Amadeo, Mendez and confiscated a total of 46 pieces small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected as shabu and other drug paraphernalia.



In the campaign against illegal gambling, nine (9) persons were arrested while engaging in illegal cockfighting activity (Tupada) in General Trias City, Cavite.

In the campaign against wanted persons, six (6) suspects were arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest to include 1 Most Wanted Person listed as Top Nr 6 in CAVITE (Provincial Level) identified as Jomar Sarmiento y Avilla of Brgy Gregorio, Trece Martires City, Cavite accused for the crime of Frustrated Murder under TMCR-1535-20. Five other wanted persons were arrested for the Violation of RA 9165 (Dangerous Drug Act of 2002); RA 9262 (Anti-Violence against Women and Children), RA 8042 (Illegal Recruitment); and Qualified Theft.



In the campaign against loose firearms, one suspect was charged for illegal possession of firearms after an incidental to lawful arrest for the crime of two counts of Grave Threat. Police confiscated one (1) unit of Cal 22 revolver with serial number 35931 loaded with five (5) live ammunitions and two (2) fired cartridge cases.

A jitney driver was arrested involved in a vehicular accident that transpired in Brgy Batong Dalig, Kawit, Cavite.



On the other hand, 118 Community Quarantine violators were recorded province wide for not wearing Face Masks and for Violation of Curfew Hours.

The arrested suspects who committed criminal offense were apprised of their Constitutional Rights and documentation are being undertaken for filling appropriate charges against them before the Office of the City and/or Provincial Prosecutor.
