Cavite Police arrested 10 individuals involved on illegal drugs, 9 on wanted persons, 3 on illegal gambling, and 1 arrested for the crime of Unjust Vexation in Daily Anti-Criminality Drive and accosts 41 individuals on Quarantine Violations over the last 24 hours from January 12-13, 2021.
In the campaign against illegal drugs, ten (10) drug personalities were arrested in 10 buy-bust operations conducted in Naic, Maragondon, Alfonso and GMA and confiscated a total of 33 pieces small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected as shabu and other drug paraphernalia.
In the campaign against wanted persons, eight (8) suspects were arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest to include 1 Most Wanted Person listed as Top Nr 5 in General Trias PNP (EMPO- Municipal Level) and six (6) other wanted persons were arrested for the Violation of RA 9262 (Anti-Violence against Women and Children), Slight Physical Injuries, Qualified Theft, Acts of Lasciviousness, 3 counts of BP 22 (Bouncing Checks), Grave Threat and Slander by Deeds.
In the campaign against illegal gambling, three (3) persons were arrested while playing illegal card games (Tong-its) in Imus City, Cavite. Recovered pieces of evidence were one (1) set of playing cards and cash money amounting to Php 370.00 as bet money.
A woman in Cavite City was arrested for unjust vexation after he uttered defamatory words to her neighbor and threw a mono-block chair infront of the victim.
On the other hand, 41 Community Quarantine violators were recorded province wide for not wearing Face Masks and for Violation of Curfew Hours.
The arrested suspects who committed criminal offense were apprised of their Constitutional Rights and documentation are being undertaken for filling appropriate charges against them before the Office of the City and/or Provincial Prosecutor.
