BATANGAS CITY - Eto Batangueño Disiplinado, Magkatuwang Tayo (EBDMT) program by Mayor Beverley Rose Dimacuha launched last year for the purpose of making good manners and discipline part of the daily life of the Batangenyos is one year.

According to Mayor Dimacuha's message, the said program served as the basis for the city to respond properly, effectively, and successfully to the tests that were carried out last year.

“Ilan sa mga pagkakataon na naipakita ang disiplina ng mga Batangenyo ay noong kinalinga natin ang mga naapektuhan ng pagputok ng bulkang Taal sa mga evacuation center,” Mayor Dimacuha said.

Health protocols against COVID-19 have been properly implemented by the EBDMT monitoring team during the pandemic period.

Mutual sympathy and cooperation were felt in the three major typhoons of 2020.

The result of this is the victory of Batangas City as “WORLD’S MOST LOVABLE CITY” where the EBDMT program became part of it.

This year, the Mayor focuses on the activities of the program by continuously shaping the behavior, discipline, and abilities of the youth with the theme “ETO BATANGgenyo DISIPLINADO: Sustainability Through Youth Empowerment”.

“The city has a young population comprising of about 50% of the total population and we are very much aware of the challenges our youth are facing as far as psycho-social aspects are a concern," Mayor said.

He added that development is fast and unstoppable and he recognizes the important role of the youth in society so he again asked for the support and solidarity of the Batangenyos to make the aforementioned project a success.

In this regard, SK Federation President Marjorie Manalo, SK Treasurer Roger Magtibay, and Adrian Von Ayap served as guests where they announced their projects for the youth in 2020.

Meanwhile, competitions were held for viewers focusing on the Facebook live broadcast of the celebration, such as answering the riddle, filling the missing words with popular proverbs and song lyrics.

Winners receive specially designed EBMT merchandise. It is managed by the EBDMT core group.
