Laguna PPO celebrates the 27th PNP Ethics Day

Camp BGen Paciano Rizal – Laguna Police Provincial Office (PPO) and the Provincial Legal Service conducts a seminar on the Anti- Graft and Corrupt Practices Act (RA 3019) and Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (RA 6713) today, January 4, at Laguna PPO conference room, at Bagumbayan, Sta Cruz, Laguna.

The event was conducted in simultaneous celebration of the 27th PNP Ethics Day with the theme “Nagkakaisang Pambansang Pulisya, Sama-sama sa Serbisyong Tapat at Marangal para sa Bayan.”



During the event, the Provincial Legal Officer Police Lieutenant Colonel (PLTCOL) EMELY R TRINIDAD discussed the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act (Republic Act (RA) 3019 and the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (RA 6713).

PLTCOL TRINIDAD discussed with the attendees the norms of conduct of public officials and employees, the duties of public officials and employees, the prohibited acts and transactions – the acts that shall constitute corrupt practices of any public officer in addition to the acts or omissions of a public officer that are already penalized by existing laws, the filing of a true and detailed sworn statement of assets and liabilities (SALN) and the penalties for violations, and exceptions.



The event was attended by twenty (20) staff officers and chiefs of office of the Provincial Headquarters and National Support Units who will cascade the seminar to their respective personnel.

This event was also conducted by the city and municipal police stations and force companies in the Province.



In his message, PCOL PETALIO II emphasized the significance of the ethics day celebration which is the adherence of each police officer to high standards of morality and decency, the exercise of proper and legitimate use of authority in the performance of duty, setting a good example for others to follow, and the observance of a community-based policing.

Moreover, top PNP personnel with good deeds Police Lieutenant DARIUS DUATIN PAGUIA, Chief of Police of Luisiana Municipal Police Station (MPS), was awarded a plaque of appreciation for his display of exemplary beyond the call of his duty as a police officer today at the National Headquarters (NHQ) PNP, Camp BGen Rafael T Crame in Quezon City while Police Executive Master Sergeant (PEMS) Carlito G Abellera, Pat Erish Dominic C De Guzman, and Pat Guiller Bawit of Famy MPS and Pat Jan Trina Ruzstine M Alfonso of the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) were given certificates of recognition during the flag-raising ceremony today at PRO4A at the Multipurpose Center at Camp BGen Vicente P Lim, Calamba City, Laguna.
