The Provincial Women Coordinating Council (PWCC) Batangas awarded Mayor Beverley Dimacuha, Salamat Po Award, an award for her excellent leadership and exemplary Lady Chief Executive.
The award was presented at the virtual celebration of International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women 2020 on November 25 last year.
The said council recognized its effective response to the challenges posed by the eruption of Taal volcano specifically in caring for the affected families and caring for women and children during the said disaster.
It will be recalled that more than 30,000 affected families were temporarily sheltered by the city in January 2020 administered by City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) personnel.

CSWDO Chief Mila Espanola personally handed over the certificate to Mayor Dimacuha this morning.
