SPC Mayor Amante will lead vaccination against COVID-19

SAN PABLO CITY, Laguna - Mayor Loreto Amante recently announced that he will take the lead in injecting vaccines against COVID-19 to dispel residents' doubts about the safety and validity of vaccines.

The statement was made by Mayor Amante in response to the request of the private sector specifically the Fil-Chinese and SPC Chamber of Commerce led by Mr. Ricky Tan and Mr. Jay Alvero.

The business sector has asked the mayor to lead the vaccination to convince the citizens to get vaccinated at the local government set schedule.

The private sector clamored at the multi-sectoral meeting for covid vaccination to prove the safety and efficacy of the said vaccine. It is also a way to get rid of urban skepticism.

In this regard, the mayor strongly calls for all eligible groups to be vaccinated to prevent symptomatic and severe infections and transmission of the virus.

Prior to vaccination, the health status of vaccinators, particularly senior citizens, will be screened.

According to the mayor, the vaccine is 100% free, so the city government will not charge any fee for those who want to get vaccinated.

Just wait for the next announcements by the City Health Office regarding the covid vaccination. (CPG, PIA-4A, and report from CIO-SPC)
