Camp BGen Paciano Rizal – Laguna PPO headed by PCOL SERAFIN F PETALIO II conducted a coordinating meeting with the UP Workers Union Officials on February 16, 2021, at the Conference Room of Laguna PPO, Camp BGen Paciano Rizal, Bagumbayan, Sta Cruz, Laguna.

The meeting was participated by Mr. Alexis M. Mejia, President, UP National Chapter, Mr. Antonio J. Salcedo, President, UP Los Baños Chapter, and Mr. Misael T. Palanginan, Vice President, UP Los Baños Chapter on community safety programs.

The agenda of the meeting were the promotion of harmonious relationship among UPLB workers, students, academe, UP Community and PNP, assessment of the real concerns of all parties and planning for possible solutions, and planning of joint environmental activities in Mount Makiling forest reserve to include tree planting activity with the UPLB Officials, UP workers union members, students, and the PNP.

The highlight of the meeting was the pledge of support and cooperation of the Institution (represented by the said officers) to Laguna PPO in its campaign for peace and order and internal security operations in relation to the E.O. 70 National Task Force to End Local Communist (NTF-ELCAC) through open dialogue and constant coordination.

The E.O. 70 is the multi-pronged approach in the Government’s aim to put an end to the root causes and treacherous life cycle of insurgency. It involves all government agencies from the national to the barangay level with delineated roles and responsibilities in the whole-of-nation approach.
PCOL PETALIO II looks forward to more dynamic support and cooperation of the UP in this endeavor.
