BATANGAS CITY - The vaccination of the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine for 300 medical frontliners of Batangas Medical Center (BATMC) has already started under the leadership of its Medical Director Dr. Ramoncito Magnaye, March 8.

BATMC is the fourth hospital in the CALABARZON region to be given an allocation of SINOVAC vaccines.

According to Dr. Magnaye, the said vaccine is a great help to their employees especially to the frontliners who face the challenge of pandemic every day.

He said they hope that in the coming days other vaccine brands such as Pfizer and AstraZeneca will also arrive.

Fifteen people per batch per day will receive the vaccine from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

They implement six steps in this regard: First is to isolate the vaccinators in the waiting area. Second is the registration where their QR code will be viewed. Third is the assessment, fourth is counseling, fifth is vaccination and finally is monitoring where the vaccinated will wait for 30 minutes to an hour if the vaccine has an effect on them.

Dr. attended the ceremonial vaccination. Eduardo Janairo, Regional Director of the Department of Health (DOH) where he explained the importance of having a vaccine.

Also present on the occasion were Congressman Marvey Mariño and Mayor Beverley Rose Dimacuha as well as City Health Officer Dr. Rosanna Barrion.
