TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite - Five female PNP personnel of the Cavite PNP were awarded for their contributions and initiatives in the performance of their jobs during the Cavite Provincial Police Office's Monday morning flag raising ceremony on March 1, 2021.
The recognition served as the kick-off ceremony for the celebration of the National Women's Month this March.
Guest of honor and speaker former Provincial Local Government Operations Officer (LGOO) VII and currently Head of the Cavite Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), Ms. Eloisa B. Rozul emphasized the role of women facing dilemma in this time of pandemic.
"Women in uniform are the helplines for psychosocial support by means of online counseling on digital networks. Build capacity like police and judicial services. Strengthen advocacy and engagement to address violence against women and children, share information and ensure accessibility of women and children shelter, and strict implementation and monitoring of laws on gender based violence. Put women at the center of policy change, solution and recovery for social and economic development," Rozul said.
The awardees were PEMS Felicar Isunza of Rosario Municipal Police Station (MPS), PCMS Annaliza C. Matro of Silang MPS, PCMS Vivian DL Bernas of Indang MPS, PSMS Jenneth A. Valencia of Amadeo MPS, and PSMG Maria Victoria J. Divina of Dasmariñas City Police Station.
They were recognized for their initiatives to strengthen community partnership thru the conduct of seminars on BPATS, Protection of Women and Children from Abuse and Exploitation and Discrimination and the simultaneous rescue of street children. (Ruel Francisco with reports from Cavite PIO)
