BATANGAS CITY - The Batangas city government has passed the validation conducted by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) validation team that includes representatives from the DILG, Philippine National Police (PNP), and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) on 24th February 2021.

The visit was led by a group from Taal town led by Municipal Local Government Operations and Chairperson Francia Templo along with Taal Chief of Police PMaj Rheden Manalo, BFP Chief Norman Signo, and other representatives from the concerned agency.

The city scored 48 points in road clearing operations out of a perfect score of 50 points due to the validation team finding two illegally parked vehicles on the circled streets.

According to DILG guidelines, at least one point for each vehicle found parked on the street should not be parked.

The validation team circled 10 city and barangay roads with a length of 11.73 kilometers in accordance with the guidelines.

Based on the group's observation, the local government's support for this national government's campaign is good and obvious. They also praised the smooth flow of traffic and even the cleanliness of the city.

Mayor Beverley Rose Dimacuha, on the other hand, assured the city's continued cooperation in road clearing operations and other government programs for the benefit of the people.

"Sa pamamagitan ng mga ganitong gawain, nadedevelop ang disiplina na hangad natin na higit pang mapalakas sa pamamagitan ng “Eto Batangueño Disiplinado, Magkatuwang Tayo"(EBDMT) program," said Dimacuha.

The EBDMT is a program launched by the city government that aims to teach discipline to all Batangueños from simply crossing to the right crossing, disposing and separating garbage, and many others that are simply done but often seen as misconduct.
