LOS BAÑOS, Laguna - In preparation and planning for vaccination among residents included in the priority list, the sub-committee on Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Vaccination under the Inter-Agency Task Force Against COVID-19 recently met in led by Municipal Health Officer Dr. Alvin A. Isidoro.
The vaccination system and process were discussed, the grouping of health workers who will administer the vaccine, the identification of the vaccination site and storage facilities needed for the vaccine to be used, and other related matters were discussed.
The people's government continues to prepare to ensure that everything is in order in case the vaccine provision arrives from the national government and the mass vaccination against COVID-19 begins.
Meanwhile, in the latest update of COVID-19 cases in the town of Los Baños, as of February 23, a total of 697 COVID-19 confirmed cases have been recorded, 637 of them have been recovered, 32 are active cases and 28 are passed away.
The barangays that recorded the highest number of COVID-19 cases are Batong Malake, 126 cases; Mayondon, 92; Anos, 92; and San Antonio, 89 while no COVID-19 case was recorded in Barangay Bagong Silang.
As such, the local government continues to remind that everyone can be part of the solution to curb the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases, it is continued compliance with minimum health standards wearing facemask and face shield, physical distancing, and constant hand washing.
