Mayor Alcala son tops for 2022 mayorial election - survey

LUCENA CITY - The son of the incumbent Mayor Dondon Alcala of Lucena City topped for the mayorial election in 2022, survey shows.

In a study conducted by Social Media Survey Enterprises Inc. in January to February 2021, the Mayor's son Mark Don Victor Alcala has 65.08 percent of respondents chose him to be the next mayor.



Following Alcala are Romano Talaga with 13.32 percent, Philip Castillo 5.61 percent and Sunshine Abcede with 2.52 percent.

The survey was conducted from the 33 barangays in Lucena with the respondents of 1,426 registered voters asking if the election will proceed, who of the candidates they want to vote?

Mayor son, also known as "kuya Mark" is a Youth Advocacy Ambassador of Lucena Youth Development Council.

Earlier, kuya Mark distributed birthday cash gifts to 400 senior citizens from barangay Cotta and barangay Dalahican.
