LUCENA CITY - Police on Monday arrested three suspected pushers and seized P474,300 worth of illegal drugs in two separate operations in this city.
Quezon police director Col. Ericson Dilag identified the trio as Giovanni Del Rosario, 43, his live- in partner Hazel Kris Lacson, 35, both of Purok Happy Valley, Brgy. Ibabang Dupay, and Carmelo Licas, 36, of Kimberly St, Marville Homes Subd., Brgy. Kanlurang Mayao.
Dilag said Del Rosario and Lacson were arrested by operatives of Lucena City police station under Lt. Col. Romulo Albacea during a drug buy- bust in Brgy. Ibabang Dupay at 6:50 a.m. while Licas was collared in Brgy. Kanlurang Mayao at 7:20 a.m.
In an interview, Albacea said the couple yielded 12 small plastic sachets containing 12.35 grams of shabu with an street value of P251, 940 while 10.9 grams worth P222, 360 were seized from Licas.
He said suspects also yielded 2 marked P500 bills during the operation.
Albacea told this writer that Del Rosario and Licas are both included in the Street Level Individual (SLI) Drug Watchlist of the Quezon Police Provincial Office while Lacson has a previous drug case.
The suspects were charged with violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 before the Quezon Provincial Prosecutor's Office.
