LUCENA CITY - Despite the significant decrease in coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) active cases, the Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO) remains vigilant in enforcing health protocols.
Quezon police director Col. Ericson Dilag, in a local television interview, stressed that despite the quick recoveries of most infected patients in the hospitals and isolation facilities, they remain active to prevent the virus from spreading.
As of yesterday, Quezon province had 7, 231 COVID-19 confirmed cases but 6, 811 have already recovered, 252 have died and only 168 remain active.
While fighting against criminals, Dilag said the battle against COVID-19 is still among their priorities. To be effective, Dilag said he started the fight within their camps and offices.
Since his assumption to office, health protocols have been strictly implemented at Camp Guillermo Nakar and at all police stations and units.
“Once a policeman gets infected by the virus, he would be immediately isolated while the office where he works will be subsequently disinfected,” said Dilag.
