CALAMBA CITY, Laguna - Having the right vaccine information is a solution to increase the number of volunteer medical frontliners to join the mass vaccination against COVID -19.
That is based on the statement made by Infection Prevention and Control Committee (IPCC) Head Dr. Jade Javier from Batangas Medical Center during the vaccination rollout that took place on Monday, March 8.
“Marami tayong mga tanong tungkol sa mga vaccines pero the first thing to do is get the right information. Hindi kailangan matakot kung alam mo ang mga bakuna, kilala mo ang mga bakuna at dapat tama rin ang nakukuha mong info,” said Javier.
The doctor also said that they went through the assessment and studied the vaccine so they also quickly received the vaccine gift from the national government at the said hospital to have extra protection against infectious diseases.
According to BatMC Chief of Hospital, Dr. Romancito C. Magnaye, there is nothing to be afraid of the vaccine specifically the Sinovac vaccine because they are safe, made in the traditional way and have undergone thorough study.
However, if healthcare workers want a different type of vaccine from their facility they will respect it.
“Kung maghihintay kayo ng ibang bakuna ay iginagalang po namin ‘yon pero kung mas maaga kayo mabakunahan, mas maagap ang proteksiyon dito sa ating matagal nang kinakalaban na COVID-19,” Magnaye said.
Meanwhile, an estimated 300 individuals were vaccinated in the first phase of the comprehensive vaccination at Batangas Medical Center which is one of the COVID-19 Facilities that cares for positive patients.
The Department of Health Calabarzon continues to support and rotate the hospitals that are conducting their simulations as well as the official vaccination rollout to ensure that the prescribed guidelines for the vaccine are followed.
