CABUYAO CITY, Laguna - The Cabuyao city government has assured cash assistance to approximately 91,000 Cabuyeño families affected by the enhanced community quarantine.
This is after the city government approved an additional P68-million to cover the P297,809,000 aid fund from the national government.
“Dahil sa naaprubahang dagdag na budget para sa ayuda, hindi lamang po ang mga nasa list of priority ng nasyonal ang mabibigyan kundi lahat na po ng ating mga kababayan” Mayor Mel Gecolea said on his official Facebook page.
According to the Cabuyao city government, each family with two or more members will receive P4,000. Tenant spouses or families will also receive the same amount; solo parents, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities who are alone at home; and, live-in partners with children. Those who were previously granted assistance but less than P4,000 will also be increased to make up the set amount.
According to the city government, individuals living alone at home, boarders/bedspacers will receive P1,000; live-in partners without children; and, senior citizens and PWDs with families.
On April 13, the house-to-house distribution of cash assistance for city residents has begun.
In a statement, the Cabuyao city government said they made house-to-house distribution of aid to ensure the safety of its residents amid the rising COVID-19 case.
They also need to go from house to house to see the status of their constituents who will be provided with cash assistance.
Two groups comprising local government staff, barangays, and volunteers, will go from house to house in each barangay to expedite the distribution of cash assistance.
There will be encoding and validation to ensure that there are no duplicate names or repeat recipients of cash assistance.
A reminder by the city government, to stay at home and wait for the GO Ayuda Team and prepare a valid ID to be shown to validators for verification and identification. If the head of the family is not at home, he can leave a copy of his ID with those lefts at home.
In case they have a complaint or question about the provision of assistance, they can report it to the Grievance Committee they have formed.
