Agri Equipment for Magmamanggang Batangueño. DA Region 4-A Executive Director Vilma M. BATANGAS CITY - The Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAg) oversaw the distribution of agricultural equipment to mango growers associations in Batangas Province to assist Batangueo farmers in connection with the decline in mango production in the province.

The said distribution of equipment, which is also the result of the Batangas Provincial Government's ongoing engagement with the agricultural sector, led by Gov. DoDo Mandanas, took place on April 12, 2021 at the Provincial Agriculture Office in Bolbok, Batangas City.



A mini chainsaw, pole pruner, power sprayer, ladder, and calcium nitrate or flower inducer were among the items distributed as part of the Department of Agriculture (DA) Region IV-High A's Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP).

The activity was led by DA Regional Executive Director Vilma M. Dimaculangan, Regional HVCDP Coordinator Redeliza Gruezo, Regional Focal Person for Mango Ruben Perlas, Agricultural Program Coordinating Officer Fidel Libao, and OPAg chief, Dr.Rodrigo M.Bautista, who personally handed over the assistance to the presidents of the raiders ’associations from Batangas City, Lipa City, San Pascual, Nasugbu, San Jose, Bauan, Agoncillo, Rosario, Taal, and Alitagtag.



The province's Mango Growers Federation is grateful for the government's assistance. Its president, Mr. Domingo Mercado, that they will further strengthen their organization and continue to be partners of the agricultural sector in the development of the mango industry in the Province of Batangas.

Following the distribution of agricultural inputs, the formal turnover to OPAg of Seed Storage, also from DA Region IV-A, was also completed that day, as part of the proper and proper management and care of the seeds distributed to farmers in the province.
