BATANGAS CITY - The Batangas provincial government through the Provincial Government-Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) recently distributed various types of tree crops to towns and cities in the province.
A total of 24,296 forest and fruit-bearing tree seedlings were distributed in the towns of San Juan, Balayan, Alitagtag, Taal, Tuy, Tingloy, Rosario, Laurel, Lian, Taysan, San Jose, Calatagan, Nasugbu, Sta. Teresita, Bauan, Lemery, and Tanauan City.
The tree seedlings were distributed by the local governments in their respective barangays to manage planting on roadsides, vacant lots, yards, and in areas near schools, barangay halls, sanitary landfills. and closed dumpsites and other plantable areas such as mountains and hills.
They also take care of the tree seedlings that are planted to ensure that they will survive well to be useful one day.
On the instructions of Gov. DoDo Mandanas, continues the various initiatives of PG-ENRO to maintain an orderly, clean, and green environment throughout the province.
The office also continues to liaise with the public and private sectors for beneficial activities, including the project undertaken, executed in collaboration with JG Summit Petrochemicals Group, Republic Cement & Building Materials, Inc., First Gen Corporation and Malampaya Foundation Inc. ., Motorcycle Riders Against Crime Association (MCRAC), an office of 5th District Board Member Bart Blanco.
