LUCENA CITY - City Tourism Office chief Arween Flores clarified the traffic issue on the Lucena City Promenade in case it opens to the public.

According to Flores, there will be no traffic because the flow of vehicles in Pleasantville Subdivision of Barangay Ilayang Iyam will be even faster because the single lane road will be implemented in this part.

He said a traffic aid and maintenance officer will also be placed in this area to monitor that there will be no obstruction to the roads especially motorists who will conduct illegal parking.

In addition, they have already held a meeting with the residents and Home Owners Association of Pleasantville Subdivision as well as the owners of the business establishment in the area to remind them of the availability of parking space.

It also ensures that the City Tourism Office and the city government will be strict once it opens to prevent traffic on the Promenade.

Flores, on the other hand, expects the Lucena City Promenade to be inaugurated and open this year as one of the tourist destinations in Lucena City. (with a report from PIO Lucena/EJ Bagnes)
