ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal - Some local governments in Rizal province have started distributing aid to its residents affected by enhanced community quarantine.
In Taytay Rizal, after the funding from the national government was lowered, the distribution of aid to the beneficiaries immediately began on Thursday, April 8.
The beneficiaries of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) 1 and 2 were first given cash assistance in accordance with DILG-DSWD-DBM Joint Memorandum Circular No.1.
According to the Taytay PIO, the local government has set up distribution pay-out centers for the smooth distribution of aid.
Beneficiaries are advised to only go to the Ayuda Center on their batch payout schedule and follow minimum health protocols such as wearing a face mask and face shield.
At the same time in Taytay, the distribution of aid for its beneficiaries has also started in the town of San Mateo where the first beneficiaries of SAP 1 and 2 received cash assistance.
Up to P270,929,000 has been allocated by the national government for the beneficiaries of Taytay while P246,276,000 is for San Mateo.
Binangonan and Teresa are also among the towns that have started distributing aid. Meanwhile, other towns and cities in Rizal are set to distribute their cash assistance this week.
Based on DILG-DSWD-DND JMC No.1, local governments have only 15 days to distribute financial assistance from the date, they receive the Notice of Cash Allocation.
A beneficiary can receive up to P1,000 while each family can receive no more than P4,000.
