The said work is among the programs promoted by Gov. Dodo Mandanas to care for and pay attention to senior citizens, particularly those reaching the age of 100 and above.
According to a study by the Philippine Statistics Authority, only a small portion of the Philippine population lives up to a hundred years. For this reason, the government deserves to honor and provide assistance and support to the Filipino and Filipina centreas.
The honored senior citizens were indented by the Social Welfare and Development Office of their respective local government units, along with the corresponding Birth Certificate, Barangay Residency, photo, and copy of their Senior Citizen ID.
