DENR Calabarzon welcomes new RED
DENR CALABARZON Regional Executive Director (RED), accepting his position at the DENR CALABARZON Regional Office in Brgy. Mayapa. (Laguna PIO)



CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – On May 10, 2021, Nilo B. Tamoria, the new DENR CALABARZON Regional Executive Director (RED), accepted his position at the DENR CALABARZON Regional Office in Brgy. Mayapa.

RED Tamoria earned a bachelor's degree in engineering from the lyceum of the Philippines and has been named Honorary Alumnus of the College of Forestry and Natural Resources Alumni Association of the University of the Philippines - Los Baños.



As Career Executive Officer III, he was RED of Region XII and NCR, served as Deputy Head of Task Force Sagip Kalikasan and Director for Special Concerns and before re -becoming RED of CALABARZON, Director Tamoria was the Executive Director of Environmental Protection and Enforcement Task Force (EPETF).

“Daladala ko po ang aking dagdag na eksperyensya sa lahat ng aking dinaanan, magmula noong panandalian kong iwan ang Region 4A. Napakarami at napakayaman pong mga karanasan sa usapin ng pagpapalakad at pamumuno sa ating ahensya sa sa iba’t ibang kapasidad,” RED Tamoria said.



Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services Alfredo C. Palencia mentioned and appreciated RED Tamoria's experience in the field of enforcement in his speech.

“We are looking forward to your value addition in our Enforcement strategies. We look forward to a strategic strengthening of our skills in this area. We also recognize your experience in community organizing and stakeholder engagement as well. Looking forward din po kami diyan.”



RED Tamoria was previously designated as CALABARZON'S RED from 2008 to 2011. On May 3, 2021, he was re-designated as RED in accordance with DENR Special Order No. 2021-223, which was signed by Secretary Roy A. Cimatu.

“I commit to organize, manage, and utilize all our resources as we navigate the new normal. I aim for the improvement not only of our services, but most importantly, of our workforce.” RED Tamoria added.

DENR Undersecretary for Field Operations and Environment Juan Miguel Cuna also expressed his full support for Director Tamoria's leadership and the entire DENR CALABARZON team.
