GEBERAL LUNA, Quezon - A non-governmental organization has received a wing van worth P2 million given by the Department of Agriculture Region IV-Calabarzon (DA-4A) recently.
The awarding was led by Mayor Matt Erwin Florido and DA officer-in-charge Regional Executive Director Vilma Dimaculangan.
The organization was consist 312 members consist of rice and vegetable farmers and accredited by Local Sangguniang Bayan and the Department of Labor and Employment.
The Kapuso Malaya Chapter, received a wing van truck worth P2 million given by DA-4A through the Enhanced Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita Inclusive Food Supply Chain Program.
The wing van will be used for easier and faster delivery of rice and other farm produce to the Sentrong Pamilihan “Procy” Trading post.
Florido said "Now that they will no longer need to rent delivery vehicles like jeepneys and tricycles to transport their products they plan to expand their network and bring their products to the Tanauan Trading post and even Metro Manila."
For his part, Francisco Dimatulac, president of the Kapuso Malaya Chapter said, “Kami po ay taga-General Luna, Quezon. Nagpapasalamat po kami at nabiyayaan kami netong wing van na ito. Syempre ngayon at meron na ho kami nito ay makakapagdala na din po kami sa iba’t ibang lugar pa.”
Drainage system
Moreover, an ongoing drainage project worth P1.2 million at Poblacion 7.
Florido said that "the implementation of the project was estimated in August this year with 170 meters to be finish and the remaining to be funded next year for the completion of the system."
No disallowed disbursement
Earlier, Florido shared a document from the Commission on Audit (COA), which showed that under his leadership, there are zero disallowed expenses.
This shows that his administration uses the people’s money cleanly and properly, he said on his Facebook page.
Florido also said that the P2.8 million suspended and disallowed expenses mentioned in the COA document pertained to transactions of the previous administration.
