BATANGAS CITY - Mayor Beverley Dimacuha directed the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO) and the General Services Department (GSD) to distribute water to residents of Barangay Dumantay on May 28 to address the town's water shortage.
The aforementioned offices dispatched a water tanker, which supplied water to the barangay's most severely affected sitios, including Gitna, Buklod Unlad, and Kanluran.
Last week, the aforementioned barangay was also flooded.
The Mayor also directed concerned local government offices to contact Prime Water, which has begun providing water to most of the city's barangays, as soon as possible to resolve the water problem in Barangay Dumantay, as well as barangay officials to expedite the construction of the waterworks project here.
