IMUS, Cavite - Cavite Police Provincial Office spearheaded by PCOL MARLON R SANTOS, Provincial Director has recorded 22,229 GCQ violators and 226 Law breakers on its intensified weeklong anti-crime drive operation conducted from May 31-June 6, 2021 with significant results.
Cavite PPO recorded 22,229 GCQ violators and breakdown as follows: 2,673 without face masks, 3,301 wore improper face masks, 8,859 without face shields, 4,550 wore improper face shields, 54 violated mass gathering, 417 violated the social distancing and 2,281 violated the curfew hours. Cavite Police gave warning to 19,159 violators, 1,985 paid fines, 1,074 undergone community services and 11 were charged for other offenses.
Out of 226 arrested, most of those arrested are involved in illegal drugs with a total of 106 individuals; 69 were involve in illegal gambling; 31 wanted persons, 6 of which are included in the list of Most Wanted Persons (Regional, Provincial, City & Municipal Level) while 25 others were involve in various crimes.
On intensified campaign against illegal drugs likewise resulted in the confiscation of 250 pieces small heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, 4 pieces medium HSTPS, 1 piece unsealed HSPTS, 5 pieces of HSTPS marijuana and other drug paraphernalias.
Authorities also collared 69 persons for involvement in illegal gambling and confiscation of bet money amounting to P18,216.00 and two (2) for possession of illegal firearms.
"This is the result of the Cavite PNP’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs, illegal gambling and most wanted persons. We will continue to intensify our measures and strategies thru the active support of the community to make Cavite province peaceful. "PCOL SANTOS said.
