GENERAL LUNA, Quezon - On June 3, 2021, checks were distributed to coconut farmers as part of the Philippine Coconut Authority's Coconut Rehabilitation Program and as part of their agency's Covid19 Response.

They raised coconut seedlings. They've grown 150 seedlings and are getting ready to plant them in their coconuts. They will plant these, and then the PCA will inspect them. They will be paid Php 4,500.00 once they have planted.

"Napakaganda ng programang ito, napalawak na ang niyugan, may kita pa ang ating mga magniniyog." according to General Luna Mayor Matt Erwin Florido.

Mayor Florido expressed gratitude to Ms. Marrynol Motol, the very hardworking Coconut Development Officer, and the Office of the Public Farmer, led by MAO Jr. Pedragoza, for focusing on this program. He stated that the reason is to include as many of his countrymen as possible in the PCA program. In fact, General Luna is one of the towns that has benefited the most.

Lanie M. Lapitan, Division Chief, Medel M. Villamarzo, Agriculturist II, Vice Mayor Boy Red, Councilor Laica Batariano, and Councilor Manny Abarquez were also present.

"Mabuhay po ang magniniyog ng bayang may puso!" he said.
