SAN PABLO CITY, Laguna - At the start of the city government's Mega Vaccination today, June 21, up to 600 residents in the priority group were vaccinated against COVID-19.
Those in the A1 (health workers), A2 (senior citizens), and A3 (adults with comorbidities) priority groups were successfully vaccinated on the first day of vaccination using Sinovac vaccines.
The number of people who will be vaccinated against COVID-19 is expected to rise in the coming days, according to the local government.
Mayor Loreto Amante thanked the Barangay Chairmen and other officials from each barangay for coordinating and submitting vaccination lists to the Barangay League and Barangay Affairs Office in order for each barangay to be properly scheduled.
Vaccination against COVID-19 continues for residents in the city's priority groups A1 (health workers), A2 (senior citizens), and A3 (adult with comorbidities).
According to the City Information Office, 360 residents were successfully vaccinated with the first dose of Sinovac at the Community General Hospital on Thursday, June 17, while 200 people were vaccinated at the SM City San Pablo vaccination site.
Despite this, the local government continues to remind residents to be cautious and follow basic health protocols in order to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
