LOS BAÑOS, Laguna - The local government held a special vaccination on June 15 at the Batong Malake Covered Court vaccination site for citizens who did not attend their scheduled schedule for the second dose of the Sinovac vaccine.
Those who had been vaccinated brought their vaccination card. Only those from the priority sector who had missed vaccination were allowed to complete their COVID-19 vaccination.
On June 11, the local government began vaccinating the A3 priority group in the town of Los Baños.
Despite a shortage of COVID-19 vaccine, the Los Baños municipal government has merged residents from the A3 - adult with comorbidities priority group and the A2 - senior citizen priority group.
Chronic respiratory disease, Cardiovascular disease, Chronic kidney disease, Cerebrovascular disease (stroke), Cancer, Diabetes, Obesity, Neurologic disease, Chronic liver disease, and Immunodeficiency are all included in this category for people aged 18 to 59.
Those in the A3 priority group, according to the local government, must bring a medical certificate or medical abstract, operative or hospital record, and prescription for their illness.
More than 20,000 people have registered for the COVID-19 vaccine so far, but only 3,500 have been vaccinated in the town.
