ANGONO, Rizal - The anti-COVID-19 vaccination program in Angono, Rizal was temporarily suspended on June 14, 2021.
This was stated by Mayor Jeri Mae Calderon during the flag raising ceremony on Monday, June 14, 2021.
According to Mayor Calderon, the first vials or doses provided by the Department of Health have run out and "maghihintay na lang tayo ng inaasahan natin bagong dadating ngayong buwan."
She also stated that they are aware of and have seen those who claim to have registered online for a long time. They cannot, however, be vaccinated immediately because the number of visitors is limited; if 1,000 samples arrive, they will be divided in half, for the first and second doses.
While there is no longer a vaccination schedule, Mayor Calderon and Arlene Ang Reyes of the Angono Municipal Health Office (MHO) urged Angono residents to continue registering online, at the barangay, or at the Angono Public Information Office.
The last 400 doses provided by the DOH have already been used in the last vaccination on Thursday, June 10, according to MHO nurse Reyes.
According to the Health Office, as of Friday, June 11, 6,022 people in Angono had been immunized. There are 4,082 in the first dose and 1,220 in the second, both of which have been completed. There are 6,766 people on the waiting list who have registered online.
