IMUS, Cavite — Around 8.533 kilograms of shabu estimated to worth P58,024,000 was seized in a joint buy-bust operation in Imus, Cavite on June 19, 2021.
Five suspects were arrested during the operation and were identified as Tamano Daud, 41 years old; Ismael Daud, 24 years old; Norma Maguid, 36 years old; Omar Redia, 42 years old.
The operation was launched by the Manila Police District (MPD) Drug Enforcement Unit, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Cavite Provincial Police Office and Imus Municipal Police Station.
“It was revealed that the suspects were members of the Tamano Drug Group distributing illegal drugs in Metro Manila, Quezon City and Rizal Province linked to Montessir Sabal,” according to MPD chief Police Brigadier General Leo Francisco said.
The following pieces of evidence were seized in the operation:
a. 13 pcs heat sealed transparent plastic sachets with white crystalline substance believed to be shabu
b. several pcs of colored plastics with white crystalline substance believed to be shabu
c. 10 pcs 1000 bill utilized as buy bust money
d. 40 pcs 1000 bill utilized as boodle money
e. 1 Glock 17 9mm pistol
f. 1 Kosnor London Chrome cal 45 pistol
g. several magazines and ammunitions of different caliber
h. drug paraphernalia
Francisco said these suspects were arrested for violation of the Dangerous Drugs Act or Republic Act No. 9165 during the buy-bust operation. They will also be charged with illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. AAC
