To educate the youth and continuously advocate for the Sustainable Development Goals, the Sinag Quezon - a nonpartisan youth organization - will launch a voter registration and information campaign called Regi Set Go on July 4, 2021, in collaboration with various organizations in Quezon Province.
This event aims to establish a program that will restore Filipino consciousness and trust in the value of the voting and the electoral process, in addition to educating the youth and providing them with the necessary information and knowledge to choose better leaders in 2022.
Furthermore, Cj Javier, the project head of Regi Set Go, stated that the organization is looking for the participation of the youth, particularly members, in encouraging their colleagues and families to register if they have not already done so.
“Sinag Quezon aims to have each member of the organization encourage and help at least two of their relatives, colleagues, friends, and acquaintances to register to vote,” she said.
A number of activities will be part of this voter registration and information campaign.
“In this program, we will have two activities. First is the series of postings about the Frequently Asked Questions with regards to registration and voting. Then a three-hour webinar with speakers who have expertise on youth advocacies on good governance, together with the COMELEC Officers of Lucena City and Tiaong who will discuss the voter’s registration status in the province and the importance of voting, especially among the youth,” Cj said.
On June 22, 2021, registration for this event will open on their official Facebook page.
