CALAMBA CITY, Laguna - The San Pablo City Health Office (CHO) clarified that all of the recorded cases of COVID-19 Delta variant in San Pablo are healthy and have recovered from the disease.
According to the San Pablo CHO, those who tested positive for the Delta variant who were all asymptomatic have completed and completed their 14-day quarantine and can be considered clinically recovered.
According to the San Pablo City Information Office, three of those who tested positive were from Barangay Sta. Monica, where swabs were taken on June 27 and July 2; one from San Gabriel, where swabs were taken on June 28; one from San Gregorio, where swabs were taken on July 1; and one from Barangay 1-B, where swabs were taken on July 2.
Despite the fact that confirmed cases have been recovered, all nearby houses with Delta variant positive records will be treated as Delta variant cases as a precautionary measure until the results from the Philippine Genome Center are released.
If you test positive, immediately implement a granular or localized lockdown in the sitio, purok, or barangay to closely monitor the area and prevent the disease from spreading.
In this regard, Mayor Loreto Amante urged city residents to take extra precautions and follow the bare minimum of health protocols.
It also reminded residents who had not been immunized to get immunized as an extra layer of protection against the more infectious Delta variant of COVID-19.
As of Monday, July 26, 175 active COVID-19 cases were recorded in the city of San Pablo. (with report from San Pablo City Information Office)
