BATANGAS CITY - On July 15, more needy families in barangay Calicanto benefited from hot meals for the seventh time in the city government's mobile kitchen visit.
The project was launched in May with Mayor Beverley Dimacuha's desire to be able to deliver aid to residents of various barangays during this pandemic.
The beneficiaries were identified by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) and the barangay leadership, with approximately 500 families from six barangay sitios benefiting.
The food was prepared by the Office of the City Veterinary and Agricultural Services (OCVAS), and face masks were distributed by the Mayor's Action Center (MAC).
The EBDMT monitoring team and Calicanto barangay officials will work together to implement health and safety protocols in food distribution.
