Former DOH-CALABARZON Regional Director Eduardo C. Janairo (center), one of the guest of honor during the blessing and inauguration of the second floor of the Sariaya Rural Health Unit in Quezon province held on July 14, 2021 stated the facility will be developed in to a super health center or a polyclinic that shall have its own diagnostic center, out-patient department and emergency care unit.
SARIAYA, Quezon - “We will be developing the Sariaya Rural Health Unit to become one of the first super health center in the province of Quezon and we will be working with the local government of Sariaya for its development,”
This is the message delivered by former Department of Health (DOH) CALABARZON Regional Director Eduardo C. Janairo as the guest of honor at the blessing and inauguration of the Sariaya Rural Health Unit (RHU) on July 14, 2021.
“The “super health center” will have its own diagnostic center, out-patient department (OPD) including several medical specialties.”
Janairo also stated that the Super Health Centre, with its pristine beaches, historical houses, and the famous mythical Mount Banahaw, is both a tourist attraction and a treatment facility, as Sariaya is a popular tourist destination.
“We have already established super health centers or polyclinics in the provinces of Cavite, Laguna and Batangas. Meron na rin po tayo sa Ibaan, Batangas at dito sa Quezon ay sisimulan natin dito sa Sariaya.”
“People deserve the right care, right in their own community. At ang mga RHUs natin ay dapat me kakayahang maibigay ang kanilang mga pangangailangang pangkalusugan kabilang na dito ang disease prevention, treatment and rehabilitation, palliative care at health promotion,” Janairo emphasized.
“Strengthening our RHUs is important not only to address individual and family health needs, but also in addressing broader issue of public health and the needs of defined populations,” Janairo emphasized.
DOH-HFEP 2019 is awarded to the Sariaya Rural Health Units (Health Facilities Enhancement Program).
The second floors have been built with the assistance of the Quezon municipal government and have a budget of 4,5 million. The construction has been completed. (with reports from DOH Calabarzon)
