SAN ANDRES, Quezon - The Talisay Solar Irrigation Project was recently inaugurated in San Andres, Quezon by the National Irrigation Administration (NIA), the Provincial Government, the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), and the office of 3rd District Congw. Aleta C. Suarez.
San Andres Mayor Giovanni Lim, 3rd District Board Member Jet Suarez representing Governor Danilo E. Suarez, NIA –IVA Regional Manager Engr. Romeo M. Lopez, and DAR Assistant Secretary and Concurrent Regional Director-DAR IV-A Asec. Rene E. Colocar were present for the event.
In Mayor Lim's message, they express their gratitude for the project as a gift to various farmers and fishermen's organizations, which will greatly benefit the members' livelihoods.
Engr. Lopez and Asec. Colocar emphasized the significance and substantial benefits of the project for the organizations that would benefit from the project offering for their area, as well as laying out some goals for further growth in the organizations' skills culture.
In the message of Congw. Suarez and Bokal Jet Suarez shared some of the programs and services that continue to be provided for the province of Quezon in the third district and throughout the Province along with some of the plans for such a solar irrigation project in Barangay Talisay, San Andres.
Meanwhile, Agricultural inputs were also distributed to farmers and vegetable growers organizations in Talisay that will help them produce a richer harvest for their organizations.
