LUCENA CITY - The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) -Quezon chapter is expected to become more active with the assumption of its new officers headed by a young but bright and dynamic president.
The Board of Officers led by its new president Atty. Vincent Edward Dato, were inducted into office by Executive Judge Dennis Galahad Orendain of Lucena City Regional Trial Court.
IBP- Southern Luzon Governor Jerwin J. Lopez graced the Biennial Induction and Installation of officers as guest of honor and speaker which was attended by judges, prosecutors, government lawyers and private practitioners.
With his assumption, Dato who took up Political Science and graduated cum laude at Far Eastetn University before entering the College of Law at FEU Institute of Law plans to elevate the standards of the legal profession by the sponsorship of the chapter of Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Seminars, to improve the administration of justice by addressing issues raised by the bench and the bar as well as by the other pillars of the justice system and to enable the legal profession to discharge its public responsibility more effectively through the conduct of timely and relevant projects and programs.
The 44 year- old lawyer is a son of the late Lucena City chief prosecutor Romeo Dato who once served as IBP- Quezon president, and former City Councilor Salome Dato.
Aside from being a top notch lawyer, Dato whose being branded "small but terrible" by his colleagues in the profession is also a proficient practical shooter and a recipient of various awards.
